PRAYER REQUESTS

PRAYERS FOR DISCIPLE-MAKING/EVANGELISM IN NEW ENGLAND

Pray for the Vision ONE process. We are now at various levels of participation with 100+ churches from all over the New England region.

Pray for:

  • Continued multiplication and mobilization of this ministry
  • Selection and training of Team Leaders, who will serve in coaching local churches through the Vision ONE process 

Pray for the new Vision ONE Pastors’ Training Series, as pastors and church leaders move deeper into the Vision ONE process to cultivate a culture of evangelism in their churches.

Pray for:

  • Praxeum I and Praxeum II Pastors' training series that started in October.  This consists of 9 training sessions (1x per month) for pastors.  Sessions are being held in NH, in ME, in CT.
  • God to make His presence known at the additional training sessions and bring about changed lives
  • Clear communication among the pastors and Vision ONE Mentors at their individual sessions and meetings
  • New training sessions to begin for leadership teams at local churches across New England 

Pray for the VNE "Disciples Making Disciples" Tour focused on Evangelism and Discipleship
Workshops will be held across New England beginning in 2012.

Pray for:

  • Finalizing locations for workshops
  • Planning for upcoming workshops: that God would open doors for workshop sites in the region & direct our marketing/communications strategies for reaching pastors & church leaders 
  • Upcoming workshops: that they would be a catalyst for disciple-making and evangelism, and that we have a long-term impact on this New England region
  • Pastors and church leaders that attended a workshop: that God would prompt them in next steps towards creating a culture of evangelism in their churches 
  • Keith Tolley, Tom Johnston, Steve Poole, and Chris McMicken in their preparatory work and presentations at upcoming workshops

Pray for VNE's new Pastors' Wives' Ministry

  • Karen Luce, Director of Pastors' Wives' Ministry and the team of leaders that she is currently bringing together
  • Wisdom, guidance, opportunities for this ministry
  • Financial support for this important ministry effort
  • Pastors' spouses all across New England

Pray for Vision New England Finances

Pray for:

  • God to grant us favor with donors so that the ministry is fully funded 
  • God to raise up new contacts and new ministry friends to invest in this Kingdom-building work
  • God to pour out His blessings, provide for this ministry, and overcome effects of the current economic trends 

Pray for Opportunities to Witness for Jesus Christ Throughout New England

Pray for:

  • Our Prison Ministries Team: Al LaMorey, Ileana Valentine, Denis Frediani, and Peter Dewberry (Alpha in Prison) as they serve and share with inmates in correctional facilities throughout New England
  • Alpha New England: their ongoing impact in this region (Staff - Willard Cook, Dick Kiernan, Lisa Smith, Linley Rouss, Les and Eunice Hanscom, Peter Carpentier) 
  • The Strategic Leadership Network Conferences and the ministry of Jack Richardson 
  • Steve Poole, as he initiates strategic ministry activities in Spiritual Formations.

PRAYERS FOR PASTORS AND CHURCH LEADERS

Pray for church plants in New England and their connection with Vision New England

Pray for:  Existing, and upcoming, church plants and church planters

Pray for our Pastoral Mentoring Team and those being served

Pray for:

  • Grace and guidance for Steve Poole and his team, as they serve pastors and work to integrate spiritual formation and mentoring into the Vision ONE process 
  • Additional gifted mentors to be identified and recruited to serve
